The dynamics of limestone (calcite) import by HS codes 2509, 251741, 283650 in recent years was unstable. So, in 2011 import of limestone in physical terms amounted to 236.8 thous.tons. According to the results of 2012 the volume of purchases increased by 4% (246,3 thous.tons). In 2013, the growth has continued but the percent increase was lower by 2.1% (251,5 thous.tons). But in 2014 the volume of imports of limestone in relation to the previous year decreased. The decline was 4.6% (240,0 thous.tons). In January-February 2015 the fall continued. If this pattern continues the volume of imports by the end of 2015 will be reduced by another 6.5% and it will be 224.4 thousand tons. In 2016 the decline will slow down a little, the volume of procurement of limestone will be 220,2 thous.tons.
