The volume of imports of 2013 amounted to 48,39% of total demand of $ 379 million, in physical terms it amounted to 363 thousand tons. While the volume of imports of 2014 was 51,60% of the total demand of $ 342 million, in physical terms it is 340 thousand tons.  The share of production for the 2013/14 season - 43 thousand tons, the total volume of demand was 0.01%. It is possible to conclude that the volume of imports of pears increased by 3.21% of the previous year 2013.

Examining the rating of importers it is possible to distinguish three leading Russian enterprises:  CJSC «Tander», LTD «Hardfruits », LTD «Fruit Dream », which total volume of purchases amounted to $ 160 million. The main importer LTD "Tander" purchased pears in physical terms 76 thousand tons for a total of $ 96 million.
